Lifelong Learning

PEP is committed to promoting lifelong learning opportunities for older people in North Edinburgh . Alongside a dedicated IT strategy, PEP plans and develops learning programmes aimed at meeting older people's needs.

Current classes include

Computing (Introduction to Word Processing and the Internet)

Computing (Advanced class (databases, spreadsheets, mail merge))

Classes will be developed in response to client demand.

PEP aims to put literacy and ICT at the heart of all its programmes and offers the classes in a range of venues including - in those cases where the older person is housebound - in residential or individuals' homes.

Transport is available, if required, to take participants to and from their classes.

Helen Tait and Theo Hidalgo both directly provide some of the learning classes with Theo, in particular, supporting those who require help with literacy and numeracy.
