PEP Weekend Resource
The Resource is a very friendly place open at weekends
for those aged 50+ living in North Edinburgh
who are isolated and sometimes cannot cope.
The Resource offers lunch and a range of activities:
Arts & Crafts
We offer learning opportunities such as Digital Photography and how to use a computer. Other activities include musical entertainment. We organise outing's to places of interest or a shopping trips. The participants manage the flower beds in PEP's Community Garden, designing the layout and upkeep of them.

Each year a pantomine is on offer and input from the group has been at a maximum during the last three years, with service users designing and making sets and costumes as well at taking part in each productions.
The group is run by staff who conduct One-to-One
meetings when required.

Volunteers help out at the Resource, which is open on both Saturdays and Sundays and if you need it, we can arrange transport to collect you from your home and take you back again.
Ratho Barge Trip
Every year the group fund raise, enabling them to visit a venue of their choice. In 2008, Nairn was the destination chosen and a group of 10 service users spent a 3 day educational/social trip in the heart of the Highlands. Visits to the Museum (specially opened for them!) Baxters Foods, the distillery, garden centre and of course the shopping trip, made for happy memories and an insight into a different way of life in Scotland.
Janis and Moira are responsible for co-ordinating the Weekend Resource.
