The Neighbourhood Group

Objectives:

The Group programme aims to provide support for people with mental ill-health through improving well being in the following manner:

1) Increasing independent living skills.

2) Improving Socialisation

3) Developing Coping Strategies

4) Health Awareness

All group members have a key worker to provide specialist individual support

with the individual progress being evaluated by 'Rickter Scale Assessment'

 

 

The Group enjoys many activities such as:

  1. Healthy Eating Classes.
  2. Literacy & Numeracy.
  3. Walking Group
  4. Gardening
  5. Dancing.
  6. Photography.
  7. Singing/Music
  8. Therapeutic Art.

    The Neighbourhood Group is open on: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and has a total of 40 members

    They are based at the PEP Centre and have access

to a minibus for their dedicated use.

The group is co-ordinated by Mandy and Louise and supported by PEP volunteers.
