PEP

What We Do

PEP delivers services to over 800 people locally. Services include:

PEP currently operates 9 minibuses which are used to support local older people's groups and individuals on a weekly basis. These buses can also be hired by local community projects e.g. youth groups, schools and church groups

Shopping

PEP provides dedicated grocery shopping trips twice per week. The destination is chosen by the shoppers

Visiting / Information Service

PEP operates a visiting service / information service whose aim is to 'take the community' to older people who would otherwise be unable to access community facilities and to reduce isolation among the housebound elderly

Weekend Resource

PEP manages and supports a weekend resource for older people aged 50+ who may suffer isolation and stress

Neighbourhood Group

PEP provides day services 4 days per week for adults with enduring mental health problems. The service is provided by referral only

Volunteer Recruitment

OPEN Forum

PEP supports and manages OPEN FORUM, North Edinburgh 's forum for older people, to engage in discussion and debate about services and issues that matter to them.

Lifelong Learning

PEP is committed to promoting lifelong learning opportunities for service users and volunteers. Alongside a dedicated IT strategy, PEP plans and develops learning programmes aimed at meeting older people's needs. PEP also offers a dedicated literacy and numeracy programme for people who, for whatever reason, find reading and writing difficult.

Clubs
